Mold’s NovemberFest is a must for all real ale and music lovers

NovemberFest is Mold’s annual celebration of real ale and real entertainment!

Taking place from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 November at St Mary’s Hall, King Street, Mold, this year’s event looks set to be another great success.

More than 30 real ales will be featured including a mix of local brews and new ales to try from across the country. There’ll also be a great range of ciders and, by request, Mold’s Hafod Brewery is providing their own specially brewed pilsner lager once again. Wine and soft drinks will be available for non-ale drinkers, alongside great festival street-style food for you to enjoy.

Once again there’ll be an opportunity to vote for your favourite ale over the weekend, this accolade is currently held by Hafod Brewery. Phill Blanchard picked up the award for his incredibly popular cranberry flavoured ale. Phill said, “It was a great honour to be awarded the champion ale in 2013 and I’m determined to do my best once again this year”.

Ian Ogden from the local Vale of Clwyd CAMRA branch said, “The Campaign for Real Ale is happy to be supporting NovemberFest again and we are really pleased that this year it will be showcasing so many local ales.”

There will be entertainment throughout NovemberFest, kicking off with top electric blues band, A Shrewdness of Apes, on Friday evening who are back by popular demand. Saturday afternoon sees an eclectic musical brew from a great acoustic duo, Price & Jones, and Saturday evening looks set to be a really lively affair with the acclaimed WeeBag Band, providing toe tappin’ diddly, diddly Irish music and songs.

Saturday evening was a sell out last year, so make sure you get your tickets early for this year’s event as both evenings are certain to be popular!

Tickets can be purchased from Mold Town Hall during office hours, Bargain Booze at 62, High Street and Wetherspoon’s Gold Cape on Wrexham Street or online at where you’ll also find regular updates.
