Friday 12 to Monday 15 April 2013 Where needs a makeover in the Town?  There will be something that all of us can help with, so can you join in for an hour or two please?

The award winning community initiative, Mold Spring Clean is on Friday 12 to Monday 15 April this year. Now in its fifth year, Mold Spring Clean just keeps growing with over 800 people taking part in 2012. Mayor of Mold, Geoff Collett, said, “During the Spring Clean people in Mold take responsibility for their own town. We have fun working together, and hope that once again volunteers will come forward this year to make the clean-up a big success.”

The Spring Clean is the biggest town-wide community activity undertaken throughout the year in Mold, involving local businesses, voluntary organisations, schools and residents. If you’ve spotted an area that needs some attention or would like to help with the initiative then please contact Springy at the address below.

Litter pickers, gloves, hi-viz jackets, and bin bags are all available to make the job easier. This year volunteers to help stain benches, and paint bollards and fences are particularly welcome. If all that sounds too physical then please come and give an hour or twos help with the admin in the office or making tea for the volunteers.

Competition for a Spring Clean promo video clip

The young people’s 2013 competition is to produce a three minute recorded jingle style advert, that can be used on Facebook, and Springy’s website to promote Mold Spring Clean throughout the year. Closing date for entries is 12 noon Friday, 19 April.
