The annual Cittaslow International Assembly took place in Lidzbark Warminski in the Warmia Mazury region of North East Poland. Lidzbark is one of five Cittaslow towns in Poland. Delegates from all over the world attended the conference including over 60 South Koreans and representatives from the Australian and USA networks.
Topics covered included the new assessment criteria; the results and implications of an international survey; sharing best practice and ideas; and the election of office holders which takes place every three years. The Cittaslow UK representative on the International Co-ordination Committee is Andrea Mearns from Mold and she was elected as one of nine Cittaslow International vice-presidents.
