The children’s garden in a tray competition, which the public voted for whilst on display in Daniel Owen Square, resulted in joint winners; six years old Kitty Mallen who created a 70th NHS Anniversary inspired garden, and Joel Jones, aged seven, with his lego inspired garden.

After careful consideration, Blooming Mold Judges Graham Wright from Mold Gardening Club and Cllr. Brian Lloyd decided to award first prize for best kept front garden to Mr & Mrs Bebb from Elm Drive, and best wildlife garden to Mrs Rowley from The Close.  The best hanging basket first prize was awarded to Mrs Wolfe from Bromfield Park, with second prize to Mrs Belcher from Elm Drive.

Winners and runners up each received a certificate and prize cheque for £60 for first prize and £30 for second prize.
