Bailey Hill Festival Sunday 11 June 2017

Enjoying the sunshine listening to storytelling at the Gorsedd site during a previous Bailey Hill Festiva

Bailey Hill, at the top of the High Street in Mold, will be the venue for a fantastic afternoon of live music from 1pm to 6pm, with a great line up of bands performing on the main stage, and a jam-packed afternoon of activities for people to enjoy.

This family friendly event on Sunday 11 June, goes from strength to strength and is regarded as one of the highlights of the festival calendar in Mold. Once again there will be the best of local music from the region, performed live on the Inner Bailey main stage. On the Gorsedd site, back by popular demand, Ruth Moore Williams will be telling her magical stories; whilst on the Outer Bailey The House of the Black Star will be inviting people to take part in a medieval re-enactment – transporting visitors back to this fascinating time through hands-on-history.

Cittaslow Mold organises the Festival, which is on three sites across Bailey Hill, and in the hall of Kings Christian Centre. There will be entertainment all afternoon on the Inner Bailey along with free activities to try out, such as circus skills, children’s creative workshops and guided heritage tours of the historic monument. Refreshments will be available on the Outer Bailey and in Kings Christian Centre hall by the entrance to Bailey Hill.

The annual Festival is the flagship event held on Bailey Hill. It attracts hundreds of people to Mold’s Scheduled Ancient Monument, which is the birthplace of the Town and was the scene of years of conflict from the 11th century.

Fancy having a go at juggling? Got a burning ambition to ride a uni-cycle? Now’s your chance. At the Bailey Hill Festival there will be free circus skill activities on the Inner Bailey to try out with Ukanuni

Tickets, at the gate on the day, are £4 for adults and free for children under 16 years of age. The closest car park is Griffiths Square off Clayton Road, behind the top of the High Street, and car parking on Sunday is free of charge.

Come along with your friends and family. Bring a picnic and your own seats or blankets to sit on, to relax and soak up the atmosphere.

Hi I live in the Mold area and manage a public address system of which would suit your event plus with a fully water proof 6m gazebo, my rates are very low as I wish Mold do well I in everything they put on. So if you require any assistance in the future contact me.
    Thanks Robert
