‘Clean for the Queen’

Clean for the queen during Mold Spring Clean from Friday 18 to Monday 21 March 2016

As this year is the Queen’s 90th birthday, schools in Mold are being asked to ‘Clean for the Queen’ during the annual Mold Spring Clean.

There will also be a competition for primary schools and young people to record their own Spring Clean efforts artistically in this special year. There are two categories:

  • the primary school who produces the best poster using photography, drawing or collage
  • the best individual or group (up to 4 young people) who are friends of Springy, and produce the best poster using photography, drawing or collage. The maximum age for entrants is 11 years old.

The closing date for entries is 12 noon on Wednesday 23 March and winners will be announced before the school Easter holidays.

There are prizes for each category and the winning posters will be used to promote Mold Spring Clean.

Springy, the Mold Spring Clean mascot will be in Mold on Saturday 19 March to meet his many friends, and sign up those who want to help with this year’s Clean. If you know of any areas in or around the town that should be included in the Spring Clean, please give the location to Mold Town Council. And if you can help for an hour or two on any of the four days please contact Jane Evans 01352 758532 or email: supportofficer@moldtowncouncil.org.uk

Springy needs you!
